Our speaker for this event will be Dr. Frene’ LaCour-Chestnut.

Dr. LaCour-Chestnut is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and a physician who is dual board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. After graduating summa cum laude from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, she matriculated through the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine where she pursued her post graduate training in the Baylor College of Medicine’s Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency training program. During her residency, she was awarded the Baylor Medicine-Pediatrics Resident of the Year Award for 2007-2008.  Upon joining Baylor College of Medicine, she advanced to become director of the Baylor MedPeds Resident Continuity clinic. She is currently involved in many facets of medical education and primary care including supervising a school-based clinic in East Houston, teaching medical students and residents in the outpatient setting, mentoring medical students, and providing primary care services at The Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center in Houston, TX.
