Karen Jubert is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and National Board Certified Counselor.
Karen co-partners with J&J Partners to conduct personal and professional development workshops on compassion fatigue, inclusive leadership, and workplace wellness with Corporate, Community Mental Health, Higher Education and Pre-K-12 organizations. In addition to her work with J&J Partners, Karen is a 2nd year Ph.D. student in Saybrook University’s Counselor Education and Supervision program, and she also works as a Mental Health Counselor with a Houston area university. You can often find Karen using her voice to reduce mental health stigma and advocate for inclusivity related to intersecting identities as she serves her community as a panelist or speaker. She recently received the Rising Star Award of Excellence for her co-facilitation of the Sista Circle: Black Grads support space for Black/African American women in a graduate or professional program and the Boris L. Henson Foundation Scholarship for her goals and contributions towards developing the next generation of culturally responsive mental health professionals. Karen utilizes a strengths-based, collaborative, empathic, humanistic approach to counseling, co-teaching, supervision, and leadership as she strives to create a safe, supportive, inclusive space for all. Karen relaxes and recharges by fishing, gardening, reading, listening to all kinds of music, and spending time with family and friends!
