John Reyes has worked in the service of youth, teens, families, and the community for more than 20 years. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Springfield College and has worked for various non-profits in the Greater Houston area. His service
capacity and experience range from running after-school and summer programs for schoolaged youth and teens; managing a charter pre-school; teaching middle school; helping at–risk teens with college access; guiding peer-led youth groups with members from across the Houston area and the nation; providing staff and community trainings; managing adult services programs; and providing outreach, abuse prevention and education programs, and presentations across the Greater Houston and surrounding areas.
John has been a national trainer for older youth training modules for the YMCA of the USA and has two years of experience with Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse facilitating, training and presenting to teens and adults on domestic violence, dating abuse, and other related topics. He facilitates national programs such as Safe Dates, Live Respect, and Coaching Boys into Men in private and public schools, as well as alternative schools and detention centers.
