The 2025 Rockin’ Resiliency Luncheon will begin with an energizing Education Session, Unapologetically Me — a candid and uplifting panel discussion featuring a dynamic lineup of guest speakers, including a family therapist, social media influencer, entrepreneur, athlete, and more. Designed to spark conversation and connection, this session encourages women and girls of all ages to embrace their authentic selves and grow their confidence, self-worth, and resilience.
Following the session, guests will enjoy a celebratory luncheon featuring keynote speaker Khori Dastoor, of the Houston Grand Opera, who will share a powerful personal story of perseverance and courage.

About Philamena
Philamena Baird is a deeply respected civic leader, philanthropist, and advocate for women and families across Houston. With a career spanning decades in business and community service, she has held leadership roles in both the private sector and nonprofit organizations. A passionate supporter of education, the arts, and women’s health, Philamena has served on numerous boards including Texas Children’s Hospital, the Houston Ballet, and the University of St. Thomas. Her lifelong commitment to uplifting others, especially women and girls, aligns perfectly with the mission of The Women’s Fund. We are proud to honor Philamena for her enduring impact and remarkable resilience.
Dr. Lakshmi Srivaths, MD

About Lakshmi
Dr. Lakshmi Srivaths is a Professor of Pediatrics at UTHealth and McGovern Medical School, and a specialist at the Gulf States Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center in Houston. With decades of expertise in pediatric bleeding and clotting disorders, anemia, and general hematology, she is known for her exceptional contributions to patient care, education, and research.
Dr. Srivaths serves as Director of the Pediatric Thrombosis Clinic, Co-Director of the Pediatric Brain and Spine Thrombosis Clinic, and Co-Director of the Women and Girls with Blood Disorders Learning Action Network. A nationally recognized leader in her field, she has authored numerous publications, led multi-center research collaborations, and serves on several national and international committees.
She is the editor of Hematology in the Adolescent Female and has received numerous honors for her teaching and clinical excellence. Dr. Srivaths’s lifelong commitment to advancing care for young patients and empowering women in medicine reflects the very spirit of resilience we celebrate today.

Proceeds from the luncheon benefit The Women’s Fund’s Health Education Programs, which reach more than 4,000 women and girls each year across Greater Houston.
